Blueshift was engaged by Siemens Project Ventures GmbH to undertake an independent assessment of Indigenous Land Use Agreements (ILUAs) and associated arrangements for Forest Wind, a major clean energy infrastructure proposal in Queensland. The project required review and analysis of proposed agreements with the Butchulla and Kabi Kabi First Nation Peoples. Blueshift’s work involved evaluating the structure and quantum of proposed ILUA funding, reviewing employment, training, and supplier engagement commitments, and assessing any potential reputational risks for Siemens relating to Indigenous engagement and cultural heritage management throughout the project’s development.
