Blueshift worked with Aseer  Development Authority (ASDA), the regional development entity for the Aseer region, as part of a major economic opportunity review for the state of Aseer across all parts of its economy. ASDA is responsible for undertaking strategic master planning and economic development planning for the region and in building Aseer as a growth-oriented, sustainable and the most diversified regional economy in Saudi Arabia. The overall review undertook a detailed economic review and assessment of five (5) strategic sectors of Aseer’ economy. Blueshift was responsible for the Livestock and Fisheries sector and our work involved a structured program of characterising and assessing the current economic landscape of livestock and fisheries (including aquaculture) production and activities in the state. The work involved components of detailed interviews with farmers, and fishers, and assessment of agronomic, aquaculture and fisheries practices, opportunities for new technology,  systems, marketable commodities and markets.
