Blueshift led the first ever comprehensive assessment of seafood tourism (both in Australia and internationally), exploring its potential as a diversification pathway for fisheries and aquaculture businesses. The project provided a set of 'early-stage' diversification assessment decision-support tools for small to medium businesses looking to expand their operations to include seafood tourism opportunities. This project’s outcomes complemented the wealth of small business resources available to support diversification into tourism in adjacent sectors (e.g., agrifood) and helped provide the necessary support to facilitate sound decision-making processes.
