Blueshift was lead author with JCU and CSIRO of major review of the current background, opportunities and projections for aquaculture in northern Australia, and which included overview of aquaculture regulatory systems, water treatment systems, barriers and opportunity for streamlining, efficiency and best practice alignment including significant liaison with the Australian Prawn Farmers Association (APFA) and Barramundi Farmers Association (ABFA) and discussions with the Queensland Department of Agriculture & Fisheries, NT Department of Fisheries and WA Department of Fisheries. The project also included the design and execution of a major online survey using proprietary tool SurveyMonkey™, and which polled over 250 respondents with 35 questions and graded responses, which formed the basis of information gathering for the report and recommendations.
